Cruz 101
Cruz 101 is one of Manchester’s most iconic LGBTQ+ nightclubs, located in the heart of the city’s Gay Village. Opened in 1992, the club is known for its energetic atmosphere, dance music, drag performances, and inclusive community, making it a long-standing favourite in Manchester’s nightlife scene.

John Hyland
John Hyland is a Liverpool-based LGBTQ+ activist and advocate with over a decade of experience in queer community work. As co-founder of LCR Pride Foundation, he has spent years building platforms that centre queer voices, challenge inequality and celebrate LGBTQ+ identity across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
He is the host of Proudly Said, the video podcast putting real queer voices, stories and conversations on record, nominated for LGBTQ+ Podcast of the Year at the Gaydio Awards 2026. Proudly Said sits down with guests in spaces where they feel comfortable to talk honestly about identity, activism and lived experience.
